A woman is patient. She teaches her children all that is good and bad with utmost patience. She waits till her chance arises to showcase her talent. She bears all those midnight schedules of her new born baby.

A woman is timid. She gets quickly worried when her family members don't come home in time. She is worried when her children are ill. She cannot send her children to far away places with whole heart.

A woman is brave. She can live for herself and for her family. She can answer social humiliations. She can achieve whatever she believes she can.

A woman is feeble. She may fail to defend herself from an assault. She cries bitterly to express helplessness. She goes into depression when hurt severely.

A woman is strong. She can overcome all her problems with confidence. She can tolerate all the pain to bring her baby into this world. She can build a stronger future generation.

A woman is revengeful. She remembers all the insults and answers them at an appropriate moment. She never forgives anyone who hurts her emotions. She doesn't tolerate when someone does any harm to her loved ones.

A woman is easygoing. She doesn't expect praises for her cooking and home making. She doesn't count time while serving her ill husband. She finds happiness in doing those troubling home making tasks. She is easily pleased by those little surprises from her dear ones. She can leave her career for her family.

A woman is negligent. She neglects her beauty once she becomes a dedicated mother. She doesn't care her health as she gets busy caring about her family members. She puts aside her interests and hobbies to dedicate time for her family.

A woman is careful. She fears about her child's health. She plans to provide them a secured life. She always keeps an eye on what her family members does.

A woman is full of love. She can play with her kid and can rule a country. She gives endless love to her partner and kids. She is emotional yet confident.She is compassionate and charming. She is modest yet courageous. She is placid and powerful.

Basically, a woman is endless!!!!

I'm in Love!!

About 25 years ago, when I was a one year kid, my dad used to carry me on his shoulders to the market and buy me my favorite rose milk and idlis. He never beat me till now, not even once, let even scold me! Me and my sis always waited for him to return from office in the evening which was almost 13 miles away, because he used bring for us toys, flowers and sweets almost daily. Since then I fell in love with him!!

Staying alone in a place far away from home because of promotions and official works is not that easy for an Indian woman. Many struggles are involved while balancing work, family, children and society. When all these are indispensable in her life, a woman becomes adorable. Hence my mom is always adorable for us. I'm in love with her!!

Being very studious and also staying active in extra-curricular activities made me a favorite for my teachers. They showed me the way how to live in life and how not to !! Two months ago, I happened to meet my teacher who taught me second language at higher classes. She hugged me and scolded for not attending her son's wedding. Might be it was their love and inspiration that made me switch from a corporate field to teaching profession. Love you teacher!!

Adversities show  the true friends in life who really stays with us. And I am glad that I have two real friends, my sis and bro. I love them!! And I love adversities too for teaching me that truth of life.... I must mention my love towards God for making me love my life and for all those he has given me and for all those he hasn't.

Loving unconditionally by birth comes only for few. As long as you can keep them loving you, you are the most richest person in the world. The moment you lose their love and faith, you are dead. My husband is one of such a kind!! We met ten years ago and are married for six years for now. All these years have passed like very few moments for us. Very often we go through our marriage album to remind ourselves that we are really married!! Because we never felt the difference!! He takes care of me in such a manner and showers his unconditional love. I must admit I can never reach him in this aspect! I'm in love with my husband!!

4 years ago when I was pregnant with my son, during the third month, I lost my grandma. She loved me more than our mom and dad. The reason we never missed our mom though she stayed away from home for years together, is because of our grand mother. Now she's gone but her love is always upon us!! Love you grandma, miss you!!

I could recover from the loss of my grandmother because of two persons, one being my husband while the second is my little darling, my son!! While I was hoping for a girl and planning to name her with my grandma's name, I was gifted with this little rascal by the God. His entry changed my life and the way I think. Initially, though I felt quite challenging to accept this change, now I love this more than anything else in the world. I'm in love with my motherhood!!

10 ideas to spend weekend at home

Weekend is a big dream for all those who work out of their homes for five or six consecutive hectic days. Most of the plans or tasks shall be waiting for their completion during weekends. Also spending a weekend out, say shopping, movies, restaurants, parks etc. is what most families do,but cannot be followed every time practically because of budget issues. Here a 10 different ideas that you can involve in to spend your weekends at home.

1. Experiment with new recipes: Try new recipes and bring that restaurant taste at home. Involve your hubby and kids to help you out.

2. Spend some time for your beauty: Care your hair and skin. Massage your hair with oil and apply a home made hair pack. Massage for an hour your body with oil and have a relaxed rejuvenating bath. See how time passes by without your notice.

3. Wash your car: Make your car shine by cleaning it all by yourselves. This way you burn some more calories too. Involve your kids and let them enjoy that water play !!

4. Attack your wardrobe: Go through all your clothes and see if they need any alterations. See if you can try new mix and match combinations. Arrange all those dresses which you want to wear that following week.

5. Open your photo album: Take a cup of coffee in your hand, go  to your balcony with your photo album. Share all those lovely moments with your kids and get drowned into those memories.

6. Write a dairy or planner: In your hectic schedule, you may not find time to write your dairy daily. Do it in your weekends. Note all the bills to be paid or appointments that following week in your planner.

7. Burn more calories: Do workout an hour more than you usually do. Split them into two half an hour intervals and do it in the morning and evening. Meditate for some more extra time and get refreshed.

8. Care your plants: Check the condition of your plants. Water, trim and care them. See if they need fertilizers or replace the soil in the pots.

9. Outdoor activities: Play outdoor games with your kids. Introduce them the games you played in your childhood. Spend some more time with your pet. It is also missing you on weekdays.

10. Re-decor you home: Change the curtains, bed sheets  and pillow covers etc. If possible, re arrange your furniture and bring a new look to your home.

As for me, in addition to all the above, I do three more things on weekends. Any guesses?? Sleeping sleeping and sleeping!! Yes, sleep an hour or two more on your weekends and make your body ready for the next week.

Gift your kids the Mother Tongue!!

A kid is born in his Mother Tongue. It is the parents'  responsibility that their kids develop an interest and love on it. In this globalized world, though one has to communicate excellently in their official language, it doesn't mean that they neglect their mother tongue. All of our basic needs- hunger, anger, cry, prayer, love, helplessness ,fear and all our emotions involuntarily jump out of us in our mother tongue, unless otherwise.

Parents can create interest in their children by teaching them the script, telling short stories, teaching them some poems, playing word games, encouraging them to read children's books printed in their mother tongue and giving importance to speak in mother tongue at home. Mother tongue is our second identity, first being our birth country. If we neglect these, we lose our identity. On foreign lands to which we are new, encountering a person speaking our native language gives us a lot of support and courage. Such is its power!!

On this International Mother Language day (Feb 21), let us take an oath that we love our first language ,pass it on to our generations and protect our identity!!

I love my pet!!

Pets are our best companions to share our joys and lessen our griefs. They love us deep from our heart without any selfishness. Leave them alone at home during the day and return in the evening after a hectic day, they welcome you with their love by licking on your face and wagging their tails. Their eyes are always filled with hope and confidence. Loving them makes us peaceful and life a whole one. Many cases are there where human being gets cheated by other human, but never by their pets. All they know is being faithful and loyal, enjoying their life without worries, giving companionship to their owners and loving them unreasonably.

Family.. The Indian way!!

Family is the basic foundation stone for an Indian community. Right from the birth to the death, each and every celebration is linked with family. When a child is born, naming ceremony is done in the presence of all family elders and relatives with joy and pomp. First rice feeding and first hair shaving of a baby must be done only under the presence of maternal uncle and other relatives.

 If it is a girl child, even more care is taken by the entire family members, including grand parents, maternal and paternal uncles, aunts, parents and siblings. The event of a girl attaining puberty is celebrated according to tradition and the girl receives all the moral and mental support from the elders along with their blessings. The real Indian family sentiments and joys are best viewed at the time of marriage of their son or daughter. If a person buys a house, then his sisters are a definite must at the time of house warming ceremony. When a person dies, all the relatives must be present to ensure that the soul rests in peace and all the rituals are carried accordingly.

Neighbors and friends too form a part of family in India and are always a help in one's thick and thin. In the Indian context, stronger family bonds ensures a safer community and a happier nation. Even a highly educated girl will automatically tune her mind to take care of her family after marriage and gives career a second option in most Indian families. She takes care of her in laws and maintains cordial relationships with all other relatives. Kids are always ensured that they maintain friendly relation with their cousins and are taught a habit of sharing. Any family occasion will be a colorful gathering of all the friends and relatives, which is a nice opportunity to share their joys and lessen their sorrows.

On this family day 2014 (in some parts of  the world), I would like to express my hearty thanks to God for giving me such a wonderful family. My grandmother was the first to mention...she loved us unconditionally but she's gone to god to share her love in the heaven.My Dad who is my best friend since my child hood, my mom who cares us and guides us, my little sister who is my friend and guide and my little brother who always fights with my son, my husband who is my support forever and encourages all my ideas, my little son who changed my world, and my in laws who takes care of me like their own daughter, my maternal uncle who is  my well wisher, my friends who help me a lot and all other relatives who taught me what life is!!

Depending on the age of the infant and occasion, lots of gift options are available to us. In this way kids are very lucky because elders don't have so many :-)

They perfectly suit the occasion and while selecting toys, take care that they are non hazardous to the baby. Elders:
